MY STORY

FLORIDA MAN

Florida Vibes Candle & Co. was born from a love of Florida, family, and the simple peace that comes from slowing down.

I’m Chris Taylor—a Florida native, Firefighter Lieutenant and Paramedic with more than 15 years of service. After long shifts and the challenges while working at the fire department, candle making became more than a hobby. It became a way for me to decompress, clear my mind, and bring a sense of calm into my home.

What began as a personal outlet grew into a family business. With the support of my wife and daughters, I now hand-pour each candle in Madeira Beach using all-natural soy wax and fragrances inspired by the places, memories, and laid-back lifestyle that make Florida special—from salty coastlines and tropical fruit to old Florida woods and cozy fall days.

Giving back is also part of our purpose. Through our Healing Vibes mission, we donate $1 from every retail candle sold to First Responder Therapy Dogs, helping support the mental health and well-being of first responders.

Every Florida Vibes candle is made with intention and carries a little piece of the Sunshine State. Whether it reminds you of a day at the beach, an old Florida road, or a peaceful evening at home, we hope it helps you slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the moment.
